No reason for not blogging for sometime.
Batam was relaxing :D
And I'm finally back to reading! Which brings me the most awesome book I've read since 'For One More Day'.
"My Sister's Keeper"
by Jodi Picoult

I always avoided books by this author because they seemed boring. But after reading this, I think I've changed my mind. I know Khairunnadiah, that you told me this book wasn't as good for you as 'The Pact' but I still thought it was really really heartwarming. And yes, I still want to read 'The Pact' XD
Basically, My Sister's Keeper is about this thirteen-year-old girl Anna, whose sole purpose of being 'created' was to keep donating blood, tissues, platelets and bone marrow for her dying older sister, Kate, who is suffering from a very different form of Leukemia. And so one day, Anna realizes she has had enough of all these and she finds a lawyer and sues her parents for the rights to her own body. Which means she wants to make her own decisions on her medical life. And I would not want to give off the ending to you because this would be something you'd want to find out for yourself.
This book has raises the ethical, moral, constitutional, personal and mostly unanswerable questions on how anyone is able to make life and death decisions about a terminally ill loved one for whom extreme measures must be taken to ask for more time and the patients right to stay alive infringing upon the life of someone else (or in this case a sister).
Definitely a must-read.
